A lightweight CRM sidebar for LinkedIn and Gmail — tag, note, and track your professional contacts without leaving the page.

PingBack is a Chrome extension that adds a small sidebar to LinkedIn profile pages and open Gmail threads. It lets you tag people, jot notes, and see your interaction history with a contact across both platforms — right where you already are, without switching to a separate CRM tab.

What it does

• On LinkedIn: a slim rail appears on any profile page. Expand it to see a contact card (name, headline, company), add tags, and write notes tied to that person.
• On Gmail: the same sidebar appears inside an open thread, showing the same contact's tags, notes, and email interaction history in one place.
• Cross-platform history: once you've tracked someone on both LinkedIn and Gmail, PingBack links the two so you can see the full relationship, not two disconnected records.

How we use Google/Gmail data

PingBack requests a narrow, non-sensitive Google OAuth scope (gmail.metadata) that grants access to message headers only — sender, recipient, subject line, and timestamp. We use this exclusively to show you when you last emailed a tracked contact, so you don't have to search your inbox manually.

We do not read, store, or process Gmail message bodies, attachments, or snippets. We never send, draft, modify, or delete email on your behalf. Full detail on what's collected, why, and how to delete it is in our Privacy Policy.

How we use LinkedIn data

PingBack reads only what's already visible on the one LinkedIn profile page you have open — name, job title, company, and profile URL — directly from the page's own content. It makes zero outbound network requests to linkedin.com, uses no LinkedIn API, and does no automated scraping, connection-list export, or messaging.

Free tier: up to 25 tracked contacts with 90 days of interaction history. Pro: $12/month or $99/year for unlimited contacts and full interaction history.
